Eaglesham School hosted ASAA Provincial Cross Country Championships this year at the Wapiti Nordic Center in Grande Prairie.  With the help of local schools we hosted over 600 athletes and over 100 schools.  The event was very good for our school as it was the first activity to bring together the whole school community.  Students from grade 1 to 12 were involved in the organization and volunteer aspect of the event.  

Jessica Bourke received the Sportsmanship Pin for her enthusiasm, positive attitude and volunteer hours before and during the event.  The Alberta Schools Athletic Association Sportsmanship Pin is given to individuals who bring positive presence to the championship and demonstrate consistent exemplary sportsmanlike behaviour.
