PART B

The consequences for receiving a "strike" are as follows:

Strike 1 - student receives a time-out from the teacher

- student must complete assigned chores during recess and/or lunch recess

Suggested Jr./Sr. chores: clean lunch-room, clean gym equipment room and stage, remove staples from bulletin boards, remove tape from gym wall, sort recyclable paper, pick weeds in courtyard, sweep sidewalks, wash desktops, wash insides of cupboards, wash walls and doors in student lounge, pick up garbage in halls and around track area

Suggested Elementary chores: pick up garbage on playground

Strike 2 - teacher contacts parent to explain situation (student may be present)

Strike 3 - the principal will meet with student, parent and teacher regarding discipline problem. Consequences could include suspension from school for periods of 1 to 5 days. Students will be re-instated to a 1 month probationary period after which time they will regain Strike 2 level.
