Computers are a wonderful invention.  Our students were very fortunate to have the pictures and presentation.

Social studies lessons become more real through a first hand resource person..

On Monday Oct. 1st,  one of our Canadian Soldiers, a former student of Eaglesham School visited and gave a presentation to our junior high and senior high students about  experiences as a front line soldier in Afghanistan. Shared were several stories about life as a soldier and some of the harsh conditions that soldiers and the Afghan people are facing. 

Staff were able to talk a little more privately after school about  jobs and experiences as a soldier.

The explanation of the roll Canada has in the Afghanistan conflict was very clear to the students.

Our support for our former student  and the Canadian troops is heart felt.  We think and wonder about this war more often now.
